Confessions of a Summer Intern: Ellen Hatfield’s Journey

Ellen Hatfield, a graduate student in UW-Whitewater’s Counselor Education program, completed an internship this summer with Eastern Oregon University. With a degree emphasis in Higher Education, Ellen is looking to pursue a career in university student affairs when she graduates in May 2011.

Ellen networked her way into her internship with EOU and was able to work on a variety of projects with the school’s Division of Student Affairs. The opportunity also took her across the country, and the physical journey turned out to be just as educational as the internship experience itself.
